High-power ultralong-wavelength Tm-doped silica fiber laser cladding-pumped with a random distributed feedback fiber laser
We demonstrated a high-power ultralong-wavelength Tm-doped silica fiber laser operating at 2153 nm with the output power exceeding 18 W and the slope efficiency of 25.5%. A random distributed feedback fiber laser with the center wavelength of 1173 nm was employed as pump source of Tm-doped fiber laser for the first time. No amplified spontaneous emissions or parasitic oscillations were observed...
متن کاملStabilized dual-wavelength erbium-doped dual-ring fiber laser.
A stable dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber (EDF) compound ring laser using a double-ring filter (DRF) is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. By using a ring filter incorporated within the ring cavity, the fiber laser can lase two wavelengths simultaneously. The dual-wavelength output exhibits a good performance having the optical side-mode suppression ratios (SMSRs) of 45.3 and 46.3 dB a...
متن کاملDual-wavelength domain wall solitons in a fiber ring laser.
We report on the first experimental observation of dual wavelength domain wall type of dark solitons in a fiber laser made of all normal group velocity dispersion fibers. It was shown that this solitary wave is formed due to the cross coupling between two different wavelength laser beams and consists of localized dip structures separating the two different wavelength laser emissions.
متن کاملTunable microwave generation of a monolithic dual-wavelength distributed feedback laser.
The dynamic behavior of a monolithic dual-wavelength distributed feedback laser was fully investigated and mapped. The combination of different driving currents for master and slave lasers can generate a wide range of different operational modes, from single mode, period 1 to chaos. Both the optical and microwave spectrum were recorded and analyzed. The detected single mode signal can continuou...
متن کاملComposite Cavity Fiber Laser with Asymmetric Output Intensity and Wavelength
The composite cavity fiber laser (CCFL) is relatively simple in its fabrication, as it is essentially three wavelength matched Bragg gratings in a section of doped fiber. By using internal feedback with unequal sub-cavity lengths, unidirectional CCFLs with significantly asymmetric output power from its two outputs can be achieved. Preliminary results also show that it is possible for the lasing...
